News - Resetting of Passwords of Email Accounts in the ABU Dormain

Please be informed that all passwords for e-mail accounts in the abu.edu.ng domain have been reset.

The action became necessary for the following reasons:

  1. It was discovered that most e-mail accounts were dormant, with many not being used even for once;
  2. The passwords of some accounts have been compromised and were hijacked by spammers. Such accounts were constantly sending spams and clogging the network.
  3. The need to identify who is actually using the email address and who is not.

All email owners that have not yet reactivated their accounts are kindly requested to either come over to the Multimedia and Web Services Unit, (First Bank Building/ICT Park & Hotspots), ICT Directorate between now and 21st June, 2009 or fill in this form . Members of staff may who do not own any email may wish to acquire one in like manner.
