This section of the library serves as a service section and is rich in CD-ROM of various disciplines. It is manned by competent staff members vast in computers.

          As the name implies, CD-ROM are what is in stored for Researchers and lecturers.

          Among the materials on CD-ROM includes the following:

          1)       EBSCO-DATABASES:  which is multi discipline from                                 1991to2003?

          2)       Medline Abstracts on CD-ROM Database from 1998 to 2002 -                      for medical and sciences.

          3)       Chemical Abstracts on CD-ROM 2002.

          4)       AGRICOLA DATABASE 1998-2001/03.

          5)       Wilson Applied Science of Technology Abstracts.

          6)       MARKS’ Standard Handbook for Mechanical Engineers.

          7)       CAB Publishing Vet - CD 1973-1988 (2001/12-2002/08).

          8)       CAB Publishing BEAST - CD 2000/06-2002/03.

          9)       TEEAL - The Essential Electronic Agricultural Library - from                        1993 to 2005 popularly referred to as Library in a box. It has:

                   -        Current Journals database

                   -        Full text articles and abstracts

                   -        Easy to use

                   -        Instant access (No internet or phone required)

          11)     Britannica 2003 Deluxe Edition CD-ROM otherwise known as                       Encyclopedia Britannica.

          12)     British Pharmacopoeias 2002 - incorporating the requirement of           the 4th Edition of European Pharmacopoeias 2002 as amended                      by supplement 4.1 and 4.2.  

          13)     Medicinal Chemistry: Case Study CD-ROM.

          14)     Association of African Universities Database of African Theses           and Dissertations DATAD.

          The DATAD initiative has two key goals:

          a)       Creating capacity in African Universities for the collection                             management and dissemination of theses and dissertations                             (TXDS) electronically and providing visibility through                                   improving access to the work of African Scholars in and                               outside the continent.

          b)      The search facility for the DATAD database provides simple                         but very powerful and effective searching. The facility offers                         standard searching for words in the fields for author, title,                              degree, supervisor, university and department, year of                                   submission, keywords, abstract and record ID.

          The University should visit us from 8 am to 3.30 pm everyday from Monday to Friday.
