To achieve its objectives the Institute draws from the rich community of scholars available within and outside Ahmadu Bello University. It also adopts an interdisciplinary approach in its research activities. Thus, researchers from various fields in the arts, social sciences, humanities and the sciences are constituted into networks to form the body of researchers in IDR.
The Networks – Currently, IDR has seven research networks as follows: Governance, Democracy and Security; Environment & Livelihoods; Education and Development; Arts, Media and Culture; Health and Development; Science and Life; and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Each network is led by a senior scholar who gives direction to the conception and design of the
