Lee T. Railsback Veterinary Library

About the Library

Picture: Taingson Andrew DK - Senior LibrarianThe beginning of this library was in 1965. Then a reading room was established to meet the specific needs of veterinary medicine staff and students.

The collection consists of textbooks and journals donated from the Kashim Ibrahim Library. Over time however, the need for a functional library to serve the research and study needs of veterinary staff and students was felt. To this end a provision was made for the construction of veterinary library which was completed in 1980/81 and the collections were transferred to the new library.

In addition to servicing veterinary students, the library also services students from the Faculties of Human Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
