Faculty of Law

A total of 150 credit units are required to graduate for those admitted into 100 Level or for the 5-year programme and 120 credit units for those admitted into 200 Level or for the 4-year programme. These credit units are made up of cognate, elective, project and general study (GENS) courses.

All Postgraduate programmes are offered either as Part-Time or Full-Time. Part-Time Postgraduate Diploma programme runs for 12 months. A total of 24 credit units are required for master degree programme which runs for a minimum of 12 months course work.  Thereafter the candidate is to write a thesis in any approved area of choice within 24 month subject to 6-month extension. For Doctoral Degree, it is essentially a research work.  Candidate write Dissertation in approved area of choice within a period of 5 years full time and 7 years Part-Time.
