Entry Requirements

To be qualified for admission, the candidate must possess the following, both academic and behavioral qualification
1. A master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling with a thesis component with a good grades in course work of which 75% of the grades must be from B and above.
2. Candidates with masters in Guidance and Counseling with project writing and have an average score of 65% and above in their course work can be considered. Suq1ch candidates will be subjected to intensive research seminar presentation.
3. All candidates will have to be assessed through the administration of some psychological tests, couple with intensive background information on them before they are admitted. Irrespective of their level of the programme, any candidate found with behavioral disorder that will damage the counseling profession will be withdrawn.
4. Any Ph.D students whose score fall below 60% in the first semester course cannot proceed with Ph.D study in counseling.
