Mission
The mission of the Department is to engage in teaching, research and dissemination of highest quality knowledge in the area of building profession. Also, to produce the high-level manpower needed in the construction industry.

The courses run by the Department provide tuition in the areas of building technology, management, materials science and services in building. The philosophy of the programme is to develop and advance the science and practice of building technology, construction/facility management, building maintenance and building services. The graduates of the Building Programme are to devote greater part of their lives addressing the enormous needs in the country with respect to production of buildings to the required quality, time and cost schedules; as well as evolving new techniques in all aspects of the building process.
