Sardauna is a traditional title for the late Premier of Northern Nigeria in whose house Arewa House is located. The Arewa House Annual Lecture in honour to the Premier is one of the highlights of Arewa House calendar of activities events that enliven the Arewa House. An acknowledged elder statesman delivers it annually. A total of seven (7) lectures have been presented so far.
First Lecture
- The imperative of National Unity and the Responsibility of Leadership by Alhaji Liman Ciroma, Ciroman Fika, former Secretary to the Federal Government, 1977-79.
Second Lecture
- The National Moral Crisis: the Role of Education, by Professor Ishaya Shua’ibu Audu, first indigenous Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University and former Minister of External Affairs, 1979-82.
Third Lecture
- Politics, Governance and Development in Nigeria: Our Past and the Future, by Alhaji Shehu Shagari, former Executive President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1979-83.
Fourth Lecture
- Leadership and Accountability in the Period of Moral Crisis by Major General Muhammadu Buhari, former Head of State, Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1983-85.
Fifth Lecture
- Sir Ahmadu Bello’s Style of Leadership by Chief Sunday B. Awoniyi.
Sixth Lecture
