The University has strengthened the alumni office (established in 1994) through the provision of befitting furniture and equipped office adjacent to the central administration, recruitment of staff, a vehicle, fax machines and telephone, quarterly financial allocation as well as fund for frequent travels all over the country. The Alumni officer who is an academic staff, on secondment to the unit routinely keeps in touch with organized and individual alumni of the university. In recognition of the role of the Alumni, real and potential, the Alumni is incorporated in all resource mobilization tours and programmes in the country. Indeed, the alumni office played a crucial role in the organization of seminars on Resource Mobilization held in September 2000 and September 2001.
