Publications General

The Department, as an organized research Centre, engages in various programmes.  This in effect, implies the publication of books, articles, conference proceedings, etc. both for national and international consumption. Among the publications by the Centre are:-

1. Journal of Islamic and Comparative Law<
2. Sharia Law Report; and
3. Fatawah Proceedings

Sheikh Uthman Danladi has published two titles to his credit, namely: Some Aspect of Islamic Law of Succession and Law of Pre-emption under the Sharia.
Dr. M.S. Abubakar has authored a book titled: Islamic Principles of Endownment, Bequest and Alms Tax. (Islamic Law of Evidence is in the pipeline).
Dr. M. L. Dabo has equally written a book titled: Islamic Family Law in the Pipeline.
In addition, members of staff were encouraged to contribute by sending their articles for publication in the University journals. Further, a member of the Library staff – Abdulkarim Sulaiman has published two pamphlets titled:

• Islamic Position on Environmental Pollution (in Hausa).
• Environmental Beautification and Residential Construction in Islam (in Hausa).
